Who's going away? What are you doing? Tell us about it.
I'm heading to the Outer Banks, NC in a few weeks with my guy and some family and some friends. Rented a house on the beach for a week of sun, sand and surf. (and hopefully no sharks! )

Well, let's see. This weekend I'm driving to Boston and visiting my mom in New Mexico and my girlfriend's mom in Illinois along the way. But I'm moving there, so it's not really vacation.
Next weekend I'm going to a big party on the cape.
After that it will probably be nothing but work until October. Oh, except for a wedding in September.

My friends and I are talking about a canoe/camping trip sometime. There was initially talk of traveling the length of the Mississippi along Iowa, but that would take about a month.

I'm going up north somewhere with my camera and a bottle or two of scotch and taking photos, I'll also head to guernsey and do the same.
Then spend the rest of summer dossing in the med sailing.

I'm currently in Paris, staying with my sister who's interning at one of the major galleries here. It's an amazing place. You must come and properly spend time here (not just take a day or two to see the sites in the middle of the Euro Disney holiday!)
The main thing though is this 500 mile cycle ride in Northern Spain from Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela - it's an ancient pilgrimmage route. We've raised about £5,000 so far, any contributions for the leukaemia charity would be gratefully received!
I'm also doing a choir tour to Gurnesey and Paris (again) - maybe see you there Peter! I'll look out for a guy with a bottle of Scotch and a camera! How do you get to go sailing in the Med? I'd love to do that again but this year I've been unable to find a friend with a boat!

I've gone to two festivals so far, Gemini and Sierra Nevada World Music Festival. Next one is coming up in September called Earthdance when it hits Laytonville. I still might go out to Burning Man, but I'm not sure. Sometime in October, I hope to spend a week in San Diego.

Take a week or two and go canoeing in the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota. Absolutely beautiful country.
