Hey all-
I have had an iPhone since the day the first gen came out and the battery easily got me through a full day. Since I got my new 3G iphone, I have found the battery to be a little lacking. There have been numerous threads on how to "preserve your battery life" by shutting off any number of functions including GPS, wifi, etc.
But it seems an add-on accessory might be a good solution for emergencies, for long plane flights, etc. So I am looking into getting an additional battery pack to use for additional iPhone power. I have compiled a list - Please post any experience you have with any of these products:
I have this product, its CHEAP, and works OK, but doesnt give much power, and certainly isnt Apple-approved (good in a real pinch):

This one LOOKS great, as it claims to use the same OEM battery supplier as the original iPhone, and seems to use a HUGE capacity battery:

Any input is appreciated-

I was considering this one when someone mentioned the mophie:
Kensington Battery Pack 1800mAh
http://us.kensington.com/html/15458.html
edit: mmmm, that Solar Powered Case looks useful.
For me, a pack needs to have a cable to for connecting it to the iPhone(or be like the mophie). The connection between pack and iPhone like the RIchard Solo seems rather frail and prone to corruption.

Man, I love the solar powered one. I want to get one. I've always wanted to solar power my gadgets so I can go out without a power cord or anything.

Just got an email from some iPhone reseller which advertises the Brando Power Station
http://shop.brando.com.hk/prod_detai...06&cat_id=0193
With 2200mAh it's more powerful than the Mophie and way, way, way cheaper. Plus it can function as a stand. I think I know what I'm gonna get.
Edit: Mmmm, the Dutch reseller states the capacity to be 1200mAh.....

It's amazing that this has become such an industry.
I picked up a generic el cheapo 1200mAh battery for $25 at a fair. Gives a full charge, plus half of another charge.
Good enough for me.

I'd love to hear from people who actually own one. I think this thread is very helpful in gaining information of what's available but the next step is to see how well each one actually works.
