That sucks with the new mac mini you can't get a quad core i7 nor can you get a ssd drive. Lame.

Well you can get a quad core in the server. And there is an empty bay in the regular mini, so adding your own SSD should be relatively easy.

The GPU gets droped with the server. I thought of that too. I want both graphics (256MB of GDDR5 memory) and quad core i7.

Something is off in Apple's specs. The 6630M does not support GDDR5 memory (that's supposed to be the difference between the 6600M and 6700M series).
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

No CD drive, no sale Apple. WTF? Plus I don't see Thunderbolt going anywhere either.

So should I go with a quad core i7 or a duel core i7.
One has a awesome graphics card the other has a decent graphis card that is better than the previous gen mac mini.
