my friend was reformatting his windows computer and left his ipod plugged in. His ipod is now blank. the only screen that comes up is the do not disconnect when its plugged in. When i plug it in it says that i have disk thats not readable and would i like to initialize, ignore or reject. if i hit initialize disk utility opens. When it opens and i click on the ipod(it shows up in disk utility) all of the repair and first aid options are unavailable. At the bottom it says partition scheme unformatted. Any ideas how to get this up and running again? Thanks for the help.

you will have to use the iPod updater software to go the iPod to work again.
