Ok, I got a new phone, because my other one crapped out. I deleted the old phone in the bluetooth preferecne pane, then paired my new phone.

Here is the problem. When I go to Bluetooth file exchange, the old phone still shows up on the list. Which isn't a big deal, but I can't use romeo, because it always wants to use the first phone on the list, which is my old phone, which isn't paired and crashes romeo. So, how can I totaly remove my old phone from my computer.

Thanks for any help.

There may be an easier way of doing this but Bluetooth File Exchange stores its recent devices in /User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist. Unfortunately, the devices appear to be listed in hex code so you can't see which one is which.

If you've only one bluetooth device you could (first do a backup!!!) then trash the preference file and re-pair the Mac and phone. That should zap the old phone from your list.

You need Developer tools installed to edit the plist file.

Take extra care with trashing preference files and be prepared to install the backup.....
