I used to be able to browse the iTMS (of anywhere) even though I couldn't buy anything. However, I can't browse any more

When I click Store, I get the usual message about being able to browse, not buy (although the message format changed at about the same time as I lost the ability to browse), I click to go in, I'm presented with all of the countries where iTMS is available, I pick one, and I'm taken straight back to the entry message

This happens on a Windows machine running XP behind a firewall, and on a Mac running OS X not behind a firewall.

Is this happening to anyone else outside the iTMS zone of embracement? Kiwis? Canucks?

Actually it says The Music Store Is Not Available In Your Country Yet, which is the same behaviour that occured in European countries just before the store opened in there.

I see this as a positive sign!

Actually I wouldn't give it much thought. It seems that this happens in all countries that currently doesn't have a music store. It just means there's a change in the store, not necessarily the one in your country. Canada and Ireland are getting theirs soon, not likely anyone else.

Apple is losing out the rest of the world to the WMA music stores I wonder how they get their store licenses so quickly.

Simple the RIAA wants better deals and they don't want to have to go through Apple thus they licence for cheapter to WMA companies.

There is a workaround. Click on a url that goes to the music store and you'll get right in.
