Moving iPhoto photos location

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there's any way to move iPhoto photo database and photos to an external harddrive instead of them being in the local one. My problem is that my photos occupy about 10 gigabytes of space in my local 30 gig harddrive and I would like to move them to my external 80 gig one. Anyone has got a solution to this please? Thanks millions!

No need for another program:
(1) Quit iPhoto
(2) In the Finder, move the folder ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library to where ever you *want* the photos to be stored (i.e. external drive)
(3) Make an alias of that folder and put it where the original was (so there's an alias named ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library)
(4) Open iPhoto again

 myPhoto: all you have to do is plug in your digital camera, import your photos as you normally would into iPhoto, organize them, add whatever captions you want, and voila! Your photos are on your web page! And what did you have to do to put them there? Simply install myPhoto.

Sorry but, How do I "make an alias" of the folder???

(3) Open iPhoto and it will ask you where the library is.

Select the folder with a single mouse click, then File->Make Alias
JLL's suggestion sounds good too and lets you skip this step

much thanks for the info. i was actually wondering about this yesterday.
with that rumor of the headless imac. i want one and it will be a photo, music, movies, games, server.
