In reading at forums at Anandtech.com, there's been discoveries of online stores selling Apple computers below MAP pricing. These dealers aren't on Apple's Authorized list of dealers so they're likely fake(especially the way they take payments). So, how does one tell Apple(Legal)?

Fake dealers selling Apple products:

What, precisely, is the problem here?

It is legal, commonplace, and generally worthy of encouragement to purchase something at a low price and resell it for a higher price. It's still Apple hardware. Apple still got paid.

And before you jump in with claims regarding warranty service, allow me to ask whether or not the warranty applies _regardless_ of what Apple claims. I strongly suspect that it does. Warranties arise easily and are hard as hell to disclaim.

So again: what's the big deal?

They can check them out and verfiy whether they are a "grey market" reseller. When emailing them include as much information as possible.
