Dude, how old are you? 16? How old is she? 16? You kids will fall in and out "of love" with scores of people by the time you're 20, so do whatever. If you really like this chick, stay with her and commit to her. IF that's not good enough for her, she's extra immature.

You are confusing love with infatuation. Love is what keeps a relationship together after infatuation has worn off.

Have you thought about testing her love of you by pooping in her kitchen? If she lives with her parents, that is cool too, it is good to know where you stand with the parents.

Good point.

It's also good to be sitting with her, watching TV or whatever, and out of the blue, announce loudly: "Well, I'm gonna go take a dump."

If she kinda laughs and just says "okay" -- or says something like "don't forget to light a match," she's a keeper.

How is that gross? Getting her naked and trying to fart on her -- and accidentally taking a dump on her is gross. Belching up bile or earlier dinner and spitting it out in front of her is gross.

This type of behavior is NOT being suggested. Rather, we're merely saying one should emphasize basic, human, bodily functions to test the potential's reaction. If she can't handle hearing you say you need to lay some cable, how are you ever going to be comfortable telling her "wait, I need to g crap real quick before we get it on"?

That's the beauty of love.

Well, you're too young to be getting it on just yet, but you see my point.

Now test your confidence by announcing you need to take a dump. Again, this is best done while lazily watching TV while not much talking is going on. Be sure she's close to you, if not leaning/laying on you. And be sure to say it loudly, as though you're announcing in on high.

Report back, and we'll walk you through the rest -- we still have to help get her friends involved so you have backup in case you need to dump her or she's out of town.

If you are too shy to announce your having to take a dump, you could secretly take a dump in her kitchen when she is not around or paying attention, but a toothpick in a turd with a sign saying "courtesy Macgeek", and then leave. That would be a good test.

If she lives with her parents, your sign would have to say "courtesy Macgeek, for my girlfriend ____", just so that there isn't confusion.

Macgeek, many of us here are living happily married and have been around the block a few times. Some of us are twice your age. Maybe instead of all the young and naive hubris, you should actually listen to some of us and consider that we are only trying to help you?

It's really not a big deal, I don't understand why you are so closed minded to trying this. Are you afraid that you'll be proven wrong?

Look it up. Here is a hint:

During the first press conference after his re-election, Bush said, "I earned capital in the campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it. It is my style." Traditionally, estimating how much power a newly elected president would wield was accomplished by pondering the size of his "mandate."
You need to determine the size of your political capital, your "mandate", if you will...

That's not the question you should be asking. You should be preparing yourself to poop in her kitchen, starting by finding a toothpick and constructing yourself a sturdy sign.

macgeek2005:

besson3c is absolutely right. The point is that if you aren't comfortable doing something that is so natural in front of someone that could potentially spend the rest of her life with you, then you aren't ready for that type of relationship. It doesn't have to be a big dump, maybe try smaller prizes at first. You can even offer to help her clean up the mess.

In other topics, I think you are right about the love thing, she has probably just labled what you two have as "love" without really knowing what love really is. You might be able to test this by asking her to poop in your kitchen!

Until you date for a while, and really get a better understanding of what "you both" are... I don't know if (on a more serious note) you should pop the "I'm in love with you line." However... if this is just one of many relationships you anticipate having, I wouldn't worry too much about taking everything so seriously, just have fun and see where it leads! Chances are you will date many more girls before you settle it all down with someone you really deeply love.
yep.
