My Sassy Girl.
Korean drama my brother's friend (yes, this friend is a girl) recommended. It was a bit hyperbolized, but I enjoyed it.

Actually, had Dakar and spacemonkey ever bothered to watch it more often, they would have found that it doesn't sink the 5th, 9th, 16th, 22nd and 56th time you watch it.

What's with all the Titanic hating? It's a pretty decent movie. I guess it's just one of those movies that are "cool to hate" *shrug*

I suppose if you make a movie long enough, you are bound to create enough good pieces of a much shorter movie.

I have no idea why it's cool to hate, other than I didn't want to see a movie where the ending was so patently obvious.

I didn't watch Titanic until about 3 years ago, and I hated the fact that I gave up the distinction of being the only one of my friends that had never seen it. It wasn't rubbish, but it was definitely overrated.
And Leo is almost always a bore.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape and The Departed are his only good movies.
I had to go to his Wikipedia page and skim through just to remind myself of any more.
Catch Me If You Can was a pretty good movie, but I'm not sure his acting was the reason for that. I think seeing the book acted out was the allure for me.

The story centers on an apartment building with a delicatessen on the ground floor. The owner of the eatery also owns the apartment building and he is in need of a new maintenance man since the original "mysteriously" disappeared. A former clown applies for the job and the butcher's intent is to have him work for a little while and then serve him to quirky tenants who pay the butcher in, of course, grain. The clown and butcher's daughter fall in love and she tries to foil her father's plans by contacting the "troglodytes", a grain eating sub-group of society who live entirely underground. The "trogs" are possibly the most sensible of the lot, as they see food as food and not money" -imdb
Love it!
LOVE this movie!! I thought it was absolutely hilarious. And creepy...all at the same time.
My top 3 are:
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg)
Amelie
and um...quite the girly film...but The Notebook comes in very close. It IS very romantic and...actually very sad. oi...so sappy.

I find almost all movies with either Rock Hudson, Cary Grant, Gregory Peck or James Dean quite romantic.
There's also one with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Tailor playing a couple. The entire film plays in a room setting. Forgot the name. Brilliant film though. Other movies I found romantic are Maybe Baby and Out of Africa, albeit a little on the cheesy side, but still nice.

It is a romantic movie. And a wonderful one, too. I've just seen it too many times. Oh, and the music is amazing.

Just remembered some that I like...
Groundhog Day (sure it's a comedy, but it's kind of touching a few times too)
Sense and Sensibility
Pride and Prejudice
And I know this isn't a romance movie, but two scenes in Forrest Gump choke me up every time I see it: the grave scene and when Forrest sees his son and asks if he's smart.

Yeah I s'pose, but there was a love story. It felt more like a real romance than some cookie cutter romantic comedy.

I find that movies I dislike are worse when stoned. You tend to focus on every detail you dislike.
So I wouldn't recommend it in this case.

11times. And that slimey Leonardo di Caprio.
It IS a good movie. But that was TOO much.
