how can I know the MB that I got is from latest lots/stalk. Just to figure out that weather I received the latest bug/trouble eradicated book which have been reported in the past months since the C2Ds are out.

what kind of bugs have there been that has been repaired in a last few months? if you do a google search about macs and serial numbers, there is a program/website that'll tell you when your mac was made, etc etc

there is no magic week where everything is fixed.

Actually I am weighing the options of getting the C2D MB from either a home shopping site or apple store. The site is offering apple mighty mouse and a notebook pouch as a freebie. I just want to know if the the units from the apple store would be the latest ones (later dates of make)or it just doesnt matter where to buy from as long the seller is well known and good.
