"Audio line in/optical digital audio in port"............
I am just used to simple audio in jack which I see commonly in all computers.Never had mac before. Does this port with technical spec as above mean to do multitudes of things which a simple audio in jack cannot? What the "optical digital" means here?
yes, it can be either analog (what has been around for years) and optical, the standard of tomorrow, which happens to be digital. If you are asking about optical I doubt you have much use for it, though.
