This is in my mind the most exciting, and potentially the closest, Tour de France since the great battle between Greg LeMond and Laurent Fignon in 1989.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Is Armstrongs lead insurmountable? According to ESPN, yes. I dont see Ullrich charging on the last day. He has showed much class and I would expect that to continue, he will respect the "unwritten law" that thou shalt not attack on stage 20.

I agree. I don't think Ullrich will attack on the last day into Paris. It is usually reserved as a celebratory ride for the Winner. With the time bonuses in stage 20 I don't think and the "unwritten law" I don't think Ullrich will attack and remain second to Lance.

Baden Cooke of Australia gets the most points. (Lance isn't even in the top 10.) Tyler Hamilton with the cracked collar bone is fourth overall. No Canadians in the top 20.

It was definately the most exciting tour I've seen in years. Hopefully he can win 6. That would be truly historic within the cycling world.
