This sounds exciting, but suspiciously like another variant of multiple desktops

The problem I had with your desktop software though is it seemed a bit slow and cluttered for me. Here's hoping for great software!

If you haven't tried VirtualDesktop again in a while, I'd definitely recommend it. (though of course I would ). Depending on when you tried it last, a ton of performance improvements have been made.

Deskfinity is a piece of software that can work along side VirtualDesktop, or as its own application. They are entirely complimentary.

Thank you for the good wishes!

Cheers!

I posted a thread here, but since it's relevant to this topic, there is an open source desktop manager alternative here: http://wsmanager.sourceforge.net/

It's under going fast development right now, it's free, slick, and extremely fast. I'll try out codetek's later, but I doubt it'll be as fast as this one, since it's so light weight (so far).

I tried this one and Workspaces the other day. After Desktop Manager got PS Elements spread across 2 desktops I decided Workspaces was the nicer albeit non-free solution. Perhaps it will be a fairer comparison when they are both at 1.0.

I apologize that it is being delayed until monday. A private beta tester found a bug in the release that we wanted to fix before putting out an official beta. It is completely packaged up and ready to go. We will be releasing on Monday as we don't like to release near a weekend as it hurts our ability to respond to technical support issues as effectively as we like.

Cheers!

Now that it's out, anyone tried it yet?

The description at Versiontracker.com wasn't too clear on what it does.

I'll have the description that is posted up on VersionTracker reviewed. If after using it, anyone has any specific recommendations on how to improve the description I'd be very happy to hear them.

Cheers!
