I downloaded a .dmg disk image in OS X which contains a carbon app. Now I'm in OS 9.1 and I can't mount the image. Neither Disk Copy nor ShrinkWrap can do it. Is there a way that I can access the contents without booting into OS X?
Should Apple have provided a way? What if I send a disk image created in OS X to a friend who only runs OS 9? How the hell are they supposed to open it? It's like .rtf documents. You can't open them in OS 8 or 9 unless you have MS Word or AppleWorks. So much for backwards compatibility. [End of whine].
