Icon Composer was really acting up when I was creating the icns files. I think the black transleucent is ok, the preview is just wrong for some reason, if you select it and choose get info, it displays properly. Weird. Not sure what you mean about the gray square around them, Im not able to reproduce it. Screenshot?

Ok fisherking,
Someone from macthemes was having the same problem and here was the solution offered by another member:
create a new folder in the folder you use as a stack
get info on the icon you want to use, and the folder you created, copy and past as normal, rename folder to "0" and the stacks as viewby name.

Let me know how it works for you.

Putting a space before the name puts it ahead of even 0

on giving away the .psds.

This is what the GUI world should be about.

That being said, some idiot tardo better not take the PSDs, modify them slightly and call them his own.

You'd be surprised at the amount of people that would do that MacosNerd. When I did the Sosumi theme there was a lot of people changing ONE small thing, then offering it to the public as if it was their creation. And then getting pissy with me when I request them remove it.

If there was a way to disallow people from doing this to themes, I would probably get back into it.

No sense of working hard on graphics, to give them out for free, just to have some jerk steal them and act like he made them.

Another thing that bothers me is when you announce you are going to make a theme, and start working on it, and someone else takes your idea and does the same and acts as if they had no clue. Even though they took part in said thread you were talking about said theme in.

That happened to me a few times. Its a very Microsoftian way of doing things.

As long as they get it on the "market" first. That is all that matters. Regardless if it's half-assed or looks like crap. And they know it.

In all seriousness I hear ya.

I was going to try my hand at theming a couple of years ago but gave up because of the work involved (and I did not have the time to dedicate to the project). I could see the temptation of grabbing someone else's work and putting my spin on it being there but that wouldn't be right.

I noticed an old sig that I once used here was being used by another member and that was rubbing me the wrong way (not the besson thing but someone actually using a sig). If that bothered me and it only being a small sig that took a few minutes to bang out, I can imagine the how I'd feel about a theme
