10:34 am iLounge: Video on screen now markedly higher resolution

I might be misreading that - it could just mean the files are higher-res.

The new iTunes shows 2 Coldplay X&Y covers.. odd. And look at all of the David Crowder ones after Mission Impossible... there's like 5 for the same album.

Seems television shows, available on HD on tv, also got the widescreen treatment. But I'm just going off the trailers. I haven't downloaded anything yet.

If anyone can confirm, I'd like to know.

Edit: Scifi's shows seem to be in widescreen. ABC's? Nope.

Steve said h.264 640x480. That's fine for old TV shows but what about HD TV shows or movies? They are widescreen, but at what resolution? 1280x720? I guess not since that would be about three times more data, but what are they using as widescreen resolution? 640x360?
