Hi:

I recently have bought a PB 12 and would like to know two things:

- Is it safe to carry it arround while in sleep mode or would it be better to turn it off?

- Can I work with it while traveling in a car (of course not while I am driving ;-) or is the moving or possible bumps bad for the hard drive?

Thank you!

It's fine to carry it around in sleep mode (when the PB is in sleep, everything is powered down except the ram, so you needn't worry about bumping it too hard and damaging your HDD).

It might not be such a good idea to work with it while travelling in the car...a large bump may damage the HDD, although some people have probably using theirs without any problems...

Oh BTW, go Chelsea FC...

My powerbook always travels asleep. I've sat in the back of cars while on long distance trips reading docs, writing web software and stuff. I've also done large data transfers between laptops while on the road
