I have an old Apple iSight the firewire one which I don't need anymore because my macbook has a built in one. Well I was poking around ebay to see how much I could possibly get and it on ebay for upwards of $350! If I remember right it was $150 new correct? I still have the original packing, boxing, manuals, and everything. Hmmmmm

Why not sell it? Yeah, they go for quite a bit sometimes as they're hard to find nowadays... people with older macs will pay a bunch for them.

If you don't need it, I'd say just put it on ebay and see what happens. You obviously weren't expecting much for it, so if you get a lot, it'll be a nice surprise (and if it doesn't sell for much, no big whoop).
