So now that the app store is basically out, Bruji have released Pocketmedia.
Does Delicious Library have plans to do something similar?

The feature I miss most from DL 1.x with my iPod Click-wheel.

I think we've got some kinks to work out of DL2 before we dive into the iPhone app scene, but it's definitely something that's crossed our minds. Scanning items in using the iPhone camera would be pretty cool.

Yes please. The record store is where I need a catalog of what I own and what I'm hunting for. I would upgrade to DL2 in a snap for that.

I wonder how hard it would be to write a program for the iPhone/Touch which could take a DL export file and display that similar to what the Classic iPod would show using the Notes?
Anyone know any Cocoa?

There has been a lot of discussion about this at the getsatisfaction forum - you guys should check it out. using filemagnet to store a file on your iphone is the most common solution

You know, it's so good to hear where you place the priority -

there's a cataloguing app already available for the iPhone - makes use of coverflow style presentation which i think would work brilliantly
i'm just wondering whether i can export my collection from DL2 on my desktop and load it into StuffRadar for carrying on the iphone:

No you can't unfortunately.
I am using it, only about 1/5th of the way through entering my collection in
It is OK, but it does crash a lot, and its implementation of coverflow is ugly and slow

If Delicious Monster had more than one programer, it shouldn't be a problem to get it out in a reasonable time.
But as long as Wil is a one-man show, stuff will just evolve very slowly.

found another iphone app - it reads csv files and displays their data.

not a perfect solution, but if i can export data from DL2 into a csv, then i'd at least be able to have a list of all my dvds on the iPhone so i don't accidentally buy a 2nd copy of something i already own

turtle777: Good things are worth waiting for =) There's something to be said about only releasing high-quality, polished software. That is what Apple does, and what we try to do as well.
We all know how much Wil loves the iPhone (I think he's infamous for buying who knows how many, we've lost count), so perhaps he has some tricks up his sleeve.
