Hey all, I'm working on my brother-in-law's computer. He's got an old dual core iMac and he had to replace his old keyboard with one of the new ultrathin keyboards. The problem is that now, Windows doesn't pick up his mouse when it's plugged into the keyboard. Is this some sort of driver issue? It's been so long since I screwed around with windows that I don't know how to even begin. Thoughts?

Does Windows see the mouse when it's plugged directly into the iMac? Has he tried plugging the mouse into the other end of the keyboard? Any basic USB mouse should be seen immediately by Windows, at least if it's plugged into the machine. The problem comes with adding a hub-which the keyboard is. Has he installed the firmware upgrades for the aluminum keyboard?

I just noticed those firmware updates coming down the pipe the day after. I bet that will solve it. Thanks.
