I know atleast 6 of us here have iPods and want 1 sock. Not willing to pay $29 for 6 but around $10 for just one. Right? Right. So hopefully, the first 6 with 3,000 posts and we'll pick among ourselves for somebody to be the ringleader.

ESTIMATED:
29$ + $6 (shipping) = 35

35 / 6 = $6 each + $2 shipping = 8

hmm the yellow n green arent bad .. but 8 bux for a sock, when i already have a case for the ipod .. hmmm...

I assume we're going to use Heatware or some similar thing as a reference point as to who is somewhat reliable?

FYI I am about 5 minutes from an Apple store and would consider buying a set IF I have people who are already willing to take the other ones off my hands before I run out and buy them. I don't want to be stuck with a bunch when I only need two.

I can go pick one up from my Soho apple store to cut the cost of that first shipping.

$29 x 8.25(tax) = 31.40

31.40 / 6 = $5.25

from that $5.25, shipping depends on your address and how heavy the sock is. maybe i can ship it in a regular envelope with an extra stamp.

So now that we have 6 peeps, let me know if you are seriously interested by emailing me your real name, phone number and address.

shipping will be no more than $0.90 so i would just put it in a little brown envolope and throw 3 stamps on (i recently sent out some old game boy cartridges and there were about $0.65 each with bubble wrap around them.

OK, well my GF is expressing the possibility of a changing her mind so she may not want a pink one anymore and would prefer another color. As I said, I live right by an Apple store. I am going to have her go down and look at them tomorrow and if she wants a different color I will go ahead and buy a set. If that is the case I will sell of the rest.

So it might be best that people who want a certain color start posting and we can match people up with those who are willing to buy and share. I have Heatware and Beerology under this name.

This is a great idea but someone needs to make it more organized. Everyone in here's relying on people to sign them up. I'll step up: I'll order a 6 pack and I call the grey one. Anyone who wants one of the other colors, post in here and we'll make lists so this can actually work.

I was thinking of creating a simple website that let people create "sock lists" that people can join and reserve colors and then it would let the hosts verify the individual users and then they can do what they need to do. I'd do it with another guy on this forum (Black Book) and it wouldn't be terribly hard but we wouldn't want to do it for nothing. So would anybody interested?

all i know is that i want gray, however i may stop by the apple store soon and buy the pack and keep a gray and blue and sell or auction off the rest...btw i just convinced my uncle to get a ibook (as long as i sell his dell on ebay)
