So I hear there are problems with this album in terms of the mix (I haven't listened to it yet myself).
It's mixed really flat and loud, someone is claiming it's being mixed for digital format so it will sound better on ipods or whatever. I read that some guitar hero III tracks sound better than the album so people are swapping those?
This is all very strange. Who has the 411?

It's just the latest in an ongoing trend since at least the mid '90s, popularly known as the "loudness wars".
