Having had no end of problems with other D-Link products, I'm in no rush to spend my money on the only "approved" Bluetooth adapter...
Evidence found here:
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/wire...sx.html?page=1
seems to suggest that 3COM's Bluetooth USB adapters will also work with my PB G4, and that got me thinking about their wireless printing kit (which attaches to the parallel port) and my trusty old Samsung ML-1210.
Has anyone had any luck doing Bluetooth printing using any of the options out there. I can find offerings from:
1. HP
2. Epson
3. 3COM
4. Anycom (I think that's the name)
But nowhere can I find references to Mac users trying to get this to work...
Looking to remove as many wires as possible from the nest behind my computers,
jon

Mac os x does not yet support the Bluetooth printing profile.
You wouldn't want to anyway - very slow - meant for printing from PDAs etc.

Thanks for the clear, to-the-point response, and for saving me a quite a few bucks...

I would recommend the HP 380x in order to print wireless. They work fantastic with the Airport. I have three printers with separate 380s and they work great. I can fax, scan, and print with my all in one device. I guess this would be a solution or alternative solution to your bluetooth. I use Bluetooth too, for my palm sync, I have never had any issues.

Is there a way to print using two Bluetooth adapters (a D-link for the USB printer and one for the PowerBook)? I take it you can't, but wasn't sure if anything new is coming out on the horizon that would allow it.
If Bluetooth isn't the answer, will I need to buy those several hundred dollar Airport-type gadgets to do this?

Anyone know of a OSX / HP printer driver that is bluetooth compliant?
I am using an older anycom BT / parellel adaptor on a HP952c. The Mac sees the BT adaptor but cannot find the proper printer software.
Running OS X (10.4.1) on a pb12" rev A with the latest HP driver download installed.
Thanks,
joseph
