I primarily use Safari and Firefox... but I remember using a web browser in the past that had a setting that would change its "behavior" to IE for Windows, Netscape for Windows etc... in the preferences. I thought it was Omniweb but I downloaded the most recent version and couldn't find that feature anymore...

Does anyone know which one it is?

The reason I ask is that I've encountered some web pages with javascript that don't work on mac browsers but did work for me when it thought I was using a windows browsers. Opera seems to work better on these sites than Safari and Firefox-not sure why...

Thanks
Mark

You're confusing spoofing your userAgent string with actually changing the browser's behavior.

You can spoof your userAgent with Safari, and probably Moz too with only minor hacking.

But that's not going to change anything about the way the browser renders a page, executes script or anything else. The only thing it does is say that it's something else when asked by the server or a javascript.

That was OmniWeb. You have to go into site specific settings (in the OmniWeb menu) and then the "Other" tab.
