Anyone aware of how to fix the lack of 'ethernet' as an option on my Powerbook 2400c?

I am using an Asante FriendlyNet 10baseT PCMCIA card connected to a live ethernet connection. The computer is running OS 9.1. It is a stock 180mhz PPC/48mb ram/1.3gig drive.

Ethernet CPs and Extensions are fully installed in the system folder (as far as I know) and active during startup. I suspect it is basically not sensing the ethernet network connection and then 'ethernet' is not an available option in the network setup boxes; Appletalk, TCP, etc.

As further info, I have successfully gotten a PCMCIA wireless card to work just fine. And I utilize Location Manager to switch all network settings between devices.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance - joseph.
