What's the easiest way to batch size a bunch of .jpgs for the web?
I want to take .jpgs directly from my digital camera and easily slim them for the web. I have Photoshop but am wondering if there is an easier way. I'm running OSX. I've tried something called ImageMagick but it was way too complicated to figure out.

You might want to look into Graphic Converter. It looks like there's a [url=http://www.lemkesoft.com/us_scripts.html]script you can download to do what you're looking for...

You don't need any other software!
You can use Photoshop's 'actions' and 'save for web'!
Simply record an action and reduce one of your images.
Save the action.
Apply the action to a whole folder of images.
NB. Make sure you save the originals.....just in case!

Thanks for the replies. Actually, I discovered Photoshops web album tool and it seems to do the trick. I can just take the images it creates and use them.

Glad that Photoshop is working for you. However for those who don't own it, Graphic Converter can definitely do batch processing like this, actually it's batch features are it's most powerful yet often overlooked features. I think some of them might not be available in the un registered version (it's been a long time since I registered), but can make it well worth the price if you do a lot of this kind of image manipulation.

iPhoto is free and will export images anywhere you want and at whatever constrained size that you want.
Free is always best.

In iPhoto you just export an album.
Graphic Converter gives you more options but everytime I try to do a conversion it crashes.

you should try iview media pro, it can import your pictures directly from a digital cam, batch jpeg or other graphic formats, template to save for html.
it runs faster. I always like iphoto's interface but it just damn slow. iview media pro runs much faster.
however if you want to edit your image, you might consider graphic converter, but the interface is a little bit complicated than iview.
