Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on this powerbook that I found.

The model is a 12inch 1.33ghz for $1099 brand new from a large retailer. It looks like a good deal, should I buy it?

Here are the specs...

PowerBook G4 M9183; PowerPC G4 Processor 1.33GHz with Velocity Engine; 256MB DDR-333 RAM; 60GB Hard Drive; Combo 8x24x16x24 DVD-ROM/CD-RW Drive; Integrated 4x AGP GeForce FX Go5200 Video Chipset; 10/100 Network Adapter; AirPort Extreme 802.11g Wireless Network Adapter; 12.1" Active Matrix Display; Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther"

Thanks in advance for your help.

]iBook G4/1.2GHz 12.1" for $895 shipped after rebate

Considering you can't even get a referbished 1.33 12" PowerBook from Apple directly this looks like a great deal.

Make sure to let us know how it works out.

I thought it was such a great deal, I got one myself! I was lucky enough to get it right before their $100 rebate offer expired, but even without the rebate, it's still a great deal.
I wanna see movies of my dreams.

Now they changed the price to $1299. I'm glad I got it while I did! I wonder if this was a pricing error, or if it was just a sale?

PowerBooks never go on sale, especially not that much.

On Amazon, the price is more like $1594. The model number is M9183LL. Here is the link http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s=pc&n=507846.

Guys, I liked this powerbook so much that I went to my local Apple store here in Atlanta and picked up a 15inch. I have this 12inch on sale in the Marketplace thread here. http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...30#post2471130

I got mine from Microcenter too - $1099 for the unit, $100 Microcenter MIR, and $100 Visa credit card MIR. Net price, $899 plus tax on $1099, or about $1000 after it's all said and done.

Not too bad for an Apple 12" 1.33 combo PB!
