Is there any way to get Adobe InDesign to print on a non-supported printer? Whenever I try to print from it to my HP DeskJet 810C, I get a message saying that my printer's not supported and to choose a new one.

Postscript printers only in the Mac version.

Still, postscript printers only. Feature disparity between platforms. How long have we Mac users been waiting to print?

Nevermind.......I fixed it the old-fashioned way: I used a PostScript printer

I use InDesign daily. You can print to a non-postscript printer if you export the document as a PDF. Open the PDF and print it.

If you want to print direct from InDesign then you will need a RIP (e.g., Adobe Press Ready) but first make sure that your printer is supported by Press Ready, check the Adobe web site.

I use InDesign and Press Ready with an Epson SC1520 printer. In Addition, I also export PDFs from InDesign and print them on an Epson SP1270 (the 1270 is not currently supported by Press Ready).
