Yep, so now that KC and Pittsburgh are off the list...I see the following Top 10 cities the next biggest that don't have one yet:

1 - San Antonio, TX*
2 - Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA
3 - New Orleans, LA
4 - Salt Lake City, UT
5 - Greensboro/Winston-Salem, NC*
6 - Nashville, TN
7 - Providence, RI*
8 - Rochester, NY
9 - Grand Rapids, MI
10 - Oklahoma City, OK

*Apple Store within approx. 60+ miles of location

I can't believe they are finally bringing an Apple Store to KC! No more being second best to those dirty St. Louisians with their Apple Store. Good things.

The Plaza is a natural place to an Apple Store. I wonder what took them so long? I wonder where? Maybe where FAO was...

I thought the same thing. A beautiful area with money everywhere surrounding it. Does anyone else in KC know where on the Plaza this will be located. Algernnon, you said it could be where FAO was located... Anyone know?

I think it will be located in the empty corner spot where the old Seville used to be...it's been vacant since the re-model and a perfect location IMHO...

Yes, that would be a great spot. I will go driving around down there this weekend and report back.

Yep, the old Seville Square is perfect too. I think I may drive around the Plaza too, just to see what I can see...

Tiffany's is also coming to the Plaza...so you would think a few good spots are obviously open, it'll be tough to know for awhile which one is going where...

I think OKC has a fairly strong Mac presence, as I know, Haddock's opened up a new store there last year due to it's market...

There is one in Buffalo. I believe that is like 30 mins from Rochester. Maybe they will put one there it would help out the area.

The "Country Club Plaza" Kansas City store is getting closer. I believe it's target date is to open the 1st week of October...

Ha, funny those two cities are next. I've lived in both those places. Pittsburgh for a decade. KC for two years.

For those of you familiar w/Kansas City, have you been to Zona Rosa yet in the Northland? From what I've read, it's going to be the next "it" place in the KC Metro. And further off-topic, there's already a Barnes & Noble in that plaza off I-29, next to the AMC Theatres. Is there now a second one in Zona Rosa, or did they close the one by the theatres? If they didn't, that's two Barnes & Nobles within 5 minutes of one another. I've been wondering that for awhile, as I lived right near there.

And for you Pittsburghers, what about the Homestead Waterfront? Isn't that supplanting Shadyside as the place to be?

Yeah, nice place...it's no replacement for the Plaza; however, it's nice to see the "Johnson County" living/shopping spread to the Northland.

Supposedly Apple looked very closely at placing the KC store in Zona Rosa; but, were eventually won over by the Plaza and it's history...

From what I remember about KC, Johnson County always wins.
