Hey Max, I love your AA theme (even if it doesn't have a true aluminum colour, something like the File Vault icon would be nice) but the buttons don't do it for me. They kill the whole aluminum alloy effect, instead of metal I think of plastic and rubber. Your buttons are too similar to your Milk buttons, I think they should be pushed in rather than "sink in" and maybe add more shine to your buttons or whole theme.

Anyways, if you could consider making the AA buttons push in (like the grey iTunes buttons) instead of that rubber-y sink in effect, I would much appreciate it.

Thanks

Nah, that would be too much gel. I find it odd though that the small round buttons have a look of their own. Maybe the buttons should look like the small round buttons or the small round buttons should be similar and squared. Small round buttons look like the chrome buttons from Milk. I'm beginning to think Max used Milk as a starting point for this theme.

Also, the "wave" progress bar should be more subtle, less pointy ondulation...then it would look more like liquid or wave. Right now it reminds me of the Pepsi logo.

Maybe you should do a MOD? Max is cool about user MODs most of the time.

I based the color of screenshots of the Powerbook G4, and I'm no material expert, but I'm very happy with it. I tried during the making to shift it more towards purple, like the G5 icons but I like it like it is better.

I didn't use Milk as a basis and I don't see any resemblance between the glass buttons and Milk chrome buttons

I'm very happy with the whole theme and if it really bother you, make a mod and post it on my forums.
