Here are some pics of Pavia (taken from a website), south of Milan, where I live:

The river is the Ticino, of course, and the medieval tower is at the centre of the university, one of the most ancient (1361) in Europe.

ok, I don't live in a city.

Lopez Island, Washington, USA

Wikipedia Article
Chamber of Commerce
Library (about the only cool thing on the island)

I couldn't find any really representative pics with google, so, here are some photos of my own. No pics of the village, but its really not much to see.

This is the only full light shot of the island I have, view from the cemetery.

Community 4th of July fireworks display.

The subsequent fire on peninsula.

Some random shot of a field not too far from where I live.

Not a view of Lopez, but from, its all pretty much the same anyway.

I'm the dumbass who can't read--actually it's not a reading issue but a comprehension issue.
Anyway, glad to hear you are living a nice safe distance away from any water. Take care!

Hafnarfjordur - the town in the lava:

Looking at the pic, Reykjavik is about 10 min drive to the left, the Blue lagoon about a 30 min drive to the right, and a lot of mountains and a few glaciers for many minutes ahead.

Born, raised and currently in Hafnarfjordur. Prob die there too.
