The Silhouette Plug-In for Adobe Illustrator Demo.

I've been useing the Silhouette plug-in in Illustrator 10 for a while now and am to say this is a great app for the Illustrator.
Import your image into AI, choose how many colors you want in your vectorized file and sim sala bim; there you go: A vectorized image.
You have to adjust some for the best result but usually the default is enough.

Solveing a problem.
I have a problem these days though; The demo stopped working and i can't get it running again. There are most likely som files in my computer reporting that i've used Silhouette to long but i can't figure out which one.
(I have tried to re-install Illustrator & removed the plug-in; still it wont work)

Anyone who knows how to get around this problem or maybe someone has the activation code ?

You're asking for help to pirate software?

Not the place, I don't think.

Sorry; AWShuttleworth
Not my intention to aid in the piracy of software.

It's just that the company wants $300 for the finale product.
But on the other hand, they say one can use the black/white conversion for free.

No wonder i am about what to belive in.

I don't think anyone's going to assist you in finding an activation code, but they're out there I'm sure. Why not use Flash's trace tool which does much of the same thing.

Or if you have a PC, use Adobe Streamline. That's a great program as well.

Or use Freehand - which has had the Auto-Trace tool for quite some time. No need to pay for a plug-in.

Nothing beats doing it yourself though. Go into Photoshop, create a new path, and use the bezeir pen. When done, export the path as a .ai, and done!

Yeah, I know you can do it yourself, but he's right - this software is pretty cool. It basically duplicates with vectors what the Photoshop plugin "Artistic:Cutout" does with pixels, which can, if you set it up right, stylize photos excellently.

Exactly. The app does some nice work to images
I have used Streamline but this is not supported in Os X and are by the way, not updated by Adobe since the late 90's.

Well i'll keep searching and hopefully i'll figure it out.
(There are some posterize functions in PS and other varaiations but Silhouette still kicks ass)

i use adobe streamline often for various tasks including the above. i run it in classic with no problems. since it's so out of date copies can be purchased inexpensively.
