I have no idea what possessed me, but I got an itching to do new icons for Tomato Torrent. Guess I dig the name, but wasn't happy with a literal drawing of a tomato in my dock, or something.
Anyways, I have no idea on how to contact the author of TT (no email address anywhere on the site), so I'll post them up here to see what people think.

It's a slightly more abstract tomato - with the leaves as a T, and they also kind of show multiple connections - branching out. I wanted it to look more like an App sitting the dock too, not just a drawing of a tomato - but also so it was more memorable as a tomato (more iconic).
I've done a document icon too for torrent files, and because I got in the groove, some toolbar icons, should they ever be needed (I hope so. I'd like to see the interface become more os x like). The toolbar icons from left to right are, 'add torrent', 'pause torrent', 'delete/cancel torrent', and 'create/generate torrent' (green, because the torrent is so new, it isn't ripe yet )

I am going to chime in her as I do alot of customizing for most of my apps and make them more easy on my eye, although the Tomato was a well designed icon it didn't feel right for me so I use the ones on the link below...

http://ip102.cross-creek.dfw.ygnitio...t/picture4.jpg

I state here and now I take no credit for the Bonsai tree, the folder, not even the document itself! I just colorized the document Apple included and superimposed the Bonasai tree, I also colorized some folders that were out there and inculded the tree as well. The icons that I have used I use because they are top notch and beautiful, I thank the icon artists (I am at a lack as to the artists that created the icons themselves, if anyone knows..) out there for their work and give them my everlasting gratitude.

I seem to be saying something like that so often now maybe I might make it into my signature...

got plenty, Quicktime, VLC (see other thread for details), iTunes, Preview, Office (somewhere around this forum), Text edit, mPlayer, Keynote, and a few odd balls here and there. I will try to take the time to put them up soon.
Peace.

why add texture, what would that achieve?
I don't feel there's any need for photo-realism in icons - it's one thing I don't like about the move to OS X icons - and they become hideously unrecognisable at anything below 32x32 pixels. I wasn't striving for an actual tomato, but a more iconic representation - so it's not A tomato, but it's Tomato Torrent - if you get where I'm coming from.
besides, how much texture do tomatoes have? if it's ripe - they're pretty smooth (and it's not exactly wise to represent a tomato that's a little past it's prime)

Perhaps strengthening the highlight on the top half? It's not as obvious on the red as it is on the green..

I should also mention (as I didn't before), that it's as much a vehicle for the colours, as it is an icon in itself. everything is the same red and green - and eventually, just the colours become the identity of the app. That's kind of why I did the toolbar icons - to show that in (limited) action.

do you think? paper can be printed on one side. The page curl kind of disappears when it's a dark colour, so I left it white so it contrasts a little more.

You could make the curled over side red, although I'm not sure that would look so good.

yeah, I've tried that (I've even tried red instead of the green entirely), but it looks off.
Besides, Apple has set a precedent for coloured pages with white curls - the documents icon in the finder sidebar (the green page at the back has a white curl)
