and what kind of porn are you viewing? and your 'elder' church people know about it? jeez man. my roommate doesn't even know much about the 15 gigs or so I've got.

but they know because you told them the truth. and it's got you in a fine spot.

and now you wanna go hangin' around at the church to see if they'll ask you to leave?

there are so many things wrong in your writings in this thread.

hopefully God talks to you again and tells you what to do.

Your brake light doesn't come on for a second as you drive through the moral equivalent of a STOP sign?

Not saying you are so afflicted, nor anyone on these pages...BUT...

Here's something that might make us pause for a moment to reflect.

What is a psychopath?

A psychopath is defined as having no concern for the feelings of others and a complete disregard for any sense of social obligation. They seem egocentric and lacking insight and any sense of responsibility or consequence. Their emotions are thought to be superficial and shallow, if they exist at all. They are considered callous, manipulative and incapable of forming lasting relationships, let alone of any kind of love. It is thought that any emotions which the true psychopath exhibits are the fruits of watching and mimicking other people's emotions. They show poor impulse control and a low tolerance for frustration and aggression. They show no empathy, remorse, anxiety or guilt in relation to their behavior. In short, they truly seem devoid of conscience.

Psychopaths have been shown to be unable to learn from punishment and behavior modification. They have been regularly observed to respond to both by becoming more cunning and hiding their behavior better. It has been suggested that traditional therapeutic approaches actually make them, if not worse, then far more adept at manipulating others and concealing their behavior. They are generally considered to be not only incurable but also untreatable.

Most studies of the psychopath have taken place among prison populations, though it has often been suggested that the psychopath is just as likely to sit on a Board of Directors as behind bars, concealing his true nature behind a well crafted "Mask of Sanity" (also the title of the one of the first definitive studies of psychopathy, written by Hervey M. Cleckley in 1941.)

Cleckley defined psychopathy thus:

Superficial charm or intelligence.
Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking.
Absence of nervousness or neurotic manifestations.
Unreliability.
Untruthfulness and insincerity.
Lack of remorse or shame.
Antisocial behavior without apparent compunction.
Poor judgement and failure to learn from experience.
Pathological egocentricity and incapacity to love.
General poverty in major affective relations.
Specific loss of insight.
Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations.
Fantastic and uninviting behavior with drink, and sometimes without.
Suicide threats rarely carried out.
Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated.
Failure to follow any life plan.

Abe, if you really have some sort of mood disorder, are you not capable of taking some time away from your computer when you are feeling like being a dick?

So get a grip.

JUST LIKE YOU DO.

Tell me SWG, how is GAY bashing any different than any OTHER bashing?

It's the same. You are bitching about what someone is doing, when you do the very same thing.

You know what is funny? The only people getting "annoyed" by him are the ones that don't agree, or like what he is saying. No one else is complaining.

Yes, it's that transparent.

Some of you think you only have the right to be annoying (and you are) but no one else.

Get over it, really.

So. Because I am different than you. And because I think differently and perhaps (in certain respects) BETTER than you (the qualifier is only there because I know you have SOME admirable abilities I do not possess) you think it's ok to express your contemptuous opinion of me here?

If one were to use difference as the basis for criticism who would bear the standard?

You?

Ha!

Even when considering EVERY HUMAN BEING ON EARTH to assemble a homogenous group on paper in an attempt to determine a representative human behavioral standard, you don't fit.

So, for you to all of a sudden come up with a post like that, which doesn't really elaborate WHY you might believe your accusation, it strikes me as odd.

You know, I once had a few combative girlfriends. They were so bored with life that their greatest pleasure came from picking fights over nothing.

I eventually came to recognize these "boredom fights" because of the way they started.

Out of the blue. No explanation. No real reason. When they wanted to feel a certain way they'd self medicate.

Bored? Take a drink.
Bored? Take a pill.
Bored? Watch Judge Judy.
Bored? Bash Abe.

Except when they bashed Abe, they got more than they bargained for. And that eventually became a seduction. They never knew what the limits of my behavior might be.

Some regret their choices, I'd guess.

Yeah. You remind me of them.

Ok, so give me a reason why you'd say something like that and then we'll get it on!

It'll be our version of the "Saturday Night Fights."

Kinda like the Christians vs the 'Liars.'

Yup.

It is really telling.

IceEnclosure seemed to chide Salty for being honest as though, 'lying is the OBVIOUS thing to have done, duh!'

And then I specifically said I wasn't referring to anyone here in particular and posted the definition of a psychopath.

And then the Usual Suspects come out of the woodwork!

And they don't 'get it?' I think they do get it. I think it's their cry for help but, I've got news for them. It's not Uncle Abe who can save you, boys and girls.

Jesus Saves!

I have no want to get into a large debate with you over this.

From lurking in the Pol/War lounge I do respect you, for you are ARE indeed very intelligent.

However, you think your sh!t doesn't stink (my opinion of course) which can be a little annoying.

Even in the best decks I've created, small mistakes occur that are inevitable, as in everything. Also, I have no belief that Jesus is Lord and is infallible. Fallability exists in everything.

Thank you sek929! I have always enjoyed your comments.

I would expect a big mistake or one that would substantially weaken the project or impact the client's perception of getting what they paid for would and should be disclosed immediately, as would you, I'm certain!

But, when any of the proud craftsmen in your area (those who are NOT as skilled as you) makes a mistake, assuming it's the infrequent or inconsequential or small mistake, does that mean they should stop advertising how good they are?

It's a rhetorical question and I know you'd agree with me because I'm USUALLY right.

There. How's that?

j/k

Oh, and that means you wouldn't want me to pray for you, huh?

Hehe, indeed.

The reason I bring this up is the almost identical approach Satly seems to making with many of his previous posts.

He is NOW all of a sudden SURE that he is gay...it doesn't sit right with me, he still has some things to figure out (IMHO).

It is just this "I want advice, yet won't accept any" attitude he has taken time and time again.

Actually, I don't watch the "Salty" show that much. It was like the TV show, "ELLEN," when she came out. It was a MUST SEE episode. And afterwards everybody had an opinion about it. But I never watched the series before that.

Not that I have anything AGAINST it/him/her/them. Well, you know what I mean.

Peace!

Although I think this should be mentioned.

In a scientific sense how can you know the strength of something without first subjecting it to a stress test? Or when you write a computer program, don't you debug it?

If that's what he does with advice, test it to see if it stands up, then that's a good move.

Like learning to work on a car engine, some guys have to take one apart first and THEN he really understands how it works.

It has all the makings of a specific spiritual assignment come to an end. It is isolated by circumstances so you won't cloud the puzzle. You have to be able to see things clearly in retrospect. It's like preserving a moment in time.

Again, if you think that your 'beliefs' (in general) have no influence on the way you act or think you're more ignorant than a mongolian goat farmer. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with 'people and their pride, or lack of self realization', but everything with a stupid misconception of how spirituality actually works.

Religion DOES shape your view of the world and how you act in it.

I'm really tempted to post a PDF of it on my blog. Problem is that the only place I'm not entirely out is school and I have a few friends who read my blog there. That's a big too risky. It's tough enough posting about it.
That said the church meets in a public school gym. I find it funny that the church is willing to make such a big deal. Cause if this made news, then the church could probably get booted out of the school, considering how pro gay the Canadian school divisions are.

he's lied around this neighborhood for quite some time. that's how I know him. (oh, you mean the gay guy?? heh, no.. yea, he really is gay now!!)***

no, I don't think he should have lied to his priest. He should have told everyone already. And at this point, he'll rationalize anything to make himself out to be a fantastic Christian.

this thread, and at least three of the characters in it are full of bologna.

*** I've stated it before, and now again: I haven't any problem with Salty, gay guys/girls or priests. But as was pointed out, he's here seemingly looking for advice, and ignoring it for the most part. And that's his MO, IMO.

You know Salty that is one wacky interpretation. You seem to be missing the forest through the trees. Looks like you're doing some serious gymnastics bending over to justify your actions. Jesus was condemning those who in their hearts wanted to act but did not, regardless of their marital state and regardless of the act, i.e., not just adultery but other forms of sin.

This seems to fit you (and society in general) Judges 17:6b "Everyone did as he saw fit"

Finally based upon these posting and what is going on in your life get some counseling, preferably a Christian as he can address the issues from a biblical perspective.

That said the church meets in a public school gym. I find it funny that the church is willing to make such a big deal. Cause if this made news, then the church could probably get booted out of the school, considering how pro gay the Canadian school divisions are.
You need to give it up and stop your whining. You've been gay like three minutes and already you're considering using secular state laws and passive aggressive techniques to gain revenge against "your" church. Is that the right thing to do?

Your church made the right choice. I'd have booted your ass too. And not 'coz you're gay.

I just looked at myself (nothing can come close to topping Salty's classic, "Nope, I double checked.") and find I can't even claim 1/8 of the total number of posts here. And many of my contributions are general in nature or supportive & positive (suppository anyone?). So I will conclude that although I am well represented I am in no danger of being as dreary, negative, heavy-handed, manipulative, pedestrian, pedantic, sinister, hyper-emotional, reactionary, vindictive and un-creative a presence here as some.

And thank you for inviting me to look at myself again. One should always take time to appreciate the finer things in life.

And if I might return the flavor, (raising my glass to Jan Van Boghout), "here's lookin at you, kid!"

He wasn't talking about post count. He was talking about real-estate.

Oh, and since this thread is pretty much spent I give you:
