Hi guys,

A few days ago my original superdrive started acting weird. Making strange zoeming sounds when entering a CD or DVD and even stranger, making skratches on them. And I mean really carving in to them. I opened it to check if maybe a grain of dirt got stuck in there. No such luck! The superdrive in question a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-105 runs in a dual 1,42 G4 powermac with 4 times 512 mb DDR SDRAM, 180 gig HD and another superdrive a PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-111D.
And I'm running Tiger 10.4.10.
I hope someone can help me with this.

Any help appreciated!

It's probably time for a replacement. I'm happy with my new 112-D (only $29):

Newegg.com - Pioneer 112-D
