Actually, this is the most even handed TV coverage I've seen in years. If this was 2000, they would have called it by now...

The web and TV are basically saying the same thing...

The real question in Ohio will be the provisional and absentee ballots.

Absentee ballots = votes added to states where the count for re-election are in the challengers favor.

Very true... the thing is... if the numbers keep trending about the same... the absentee ballots won't make much of a difference unless there are around a million absentee ballots with a majority going toward Kerry.

There is also some Democratic hope that Cleveland slides VERY heavy on the Kerry side. But as many are saying... it's getting rather thin...

If you are not in the state at the time of voting, or say you are in college away from home, you ask for a ballet and they mail you one. You then fill it in and send it back on time and have your vote counted.

Please, stop posting in this thread if you're not going to contribute anything except pointless jabs and useless quips. I know I'm not a mod/admin, but this thread has remained civil, and can continue to be so if you stop.

True, but it would have to be a large number of ballots with a very large number going towards Kerry. I'm not saying it's impossible... but I'm somewhat confident that we will receive a decision without having to wait weeks.

Are the votes from the troops overseas counted in with the states as absentees ahead or do we need to wait?

It's also important to remember that the military votes absentee.

Congrats Bush supporters!

Can we be a united country again? Remember how it felt to be united after that terrible day in Sept of 2001?

Granted, I know that's Ohio, but it looks like they compressed in a trash compactor the whole country and that is the end result.

CD Hanks, that's not what I meant. My God. Don't you think the country is better off united rather being totally partisan (like it has been during this election - moreso than any election I remember).

Well the left will be less petty about Bush now that there isn't another election for him to win. So the partisan stuff will go to the wayside for all but the most zealous of political clowns.

Here is hoping anyhow.

I am not quite ready to say its over because I know the attorneys havent gotten involved yet and I smart enough to know not to put much faith in the numbers so early. But why have all the democrats become so quiet over the past hour? And all of the Europeans, shouldnt they just be waking up around now? Where are they?
