I hear it's pretty difficult and not very user serviceable.

But has anyone here been able to do it (without breaking it!) and report back how it was done?

It voids your warranty, so don't expect too many volunteers. Presumably some of the Mac oriented tech sites will have images up at some point (or they may already).
