I just upgraded to a Mac Pro from an iMac G5 PowerPC. Ram is 4 gigs vs 2 gigs. I would have thought that the Pro would be WAY faster. In CS2 though, when I do a SMART SHARPEN, for example, it still takes about 15 seconds to complete (I was hoping for almost instantaneous!). Are my expectations too high? Are there settings I need to change?

If you own a legal copy of CS2, you can download the Beta of CS3 for free, and try it out.

The speed increase is *huge*.
