Actually if you have no graphics card your computer might not boot. GO to apple and have them test it, takes no longer than an hour, hopefully your covered and everything works fine. I'm more than 90% sure it is the graphics issue that Apple is repairing for free

Thanks. I do have an appointment at an Apple store tomorrow, actually. So we'll see. From what I heard on the phone, it might actually not be as expensive as I was originally told to get it fixed, even if I do have to pay.

Well, I nearly logged in to check when they were released as I thought I'd need to buy another machine...

I just dropped my Alu Macbook 2.4 that I have had for the last year and a half, onto a concrete floor from table height. :O

As it turns out, thankfully it is only showing a slight graze on one corner. It would have (and has in the past) destroyed one of the earlier MBP models.

If anyone is in doubt how tough the Alu Macbook/Pros are, they are **tough**!!

Roll on the updates!

It's been down for quite a while already (almost an hour)... strange time for an update, it's in the middle of the night on the West coast!?

It has happened before. I've seen the store go down as early as 4AM Pacific.

Looks like it might finally be today.

Either they're not all going to be Core iX (not likely) or they've made a typo.

The way they lay it out the high-end 13" has a Core i7 at 2.66 GHz whereas the 17" comes with a Core i5 at 2.53 GHz. Probably not.

It'd be great if the 13" came with a Core i7 …

I presume everybody saw the "leak" of this morning:
Last-minute leak shows Core i5 MacBook Pro specs | Electronista

Only thing I didn't appreciate was idea of "glossy anti-glare"... wouldn't that be choosing glass over light-weight?
