so far i think cathode is the best black theme... i'm hoping max will make a revamp of milk 2.5 to have a black variant... that would be awesome...

I really like Shinobi... It's a dark theme that I can use for quite a while without switching back to a brighter one. I also like Soot.

NEOS is my favourite, followed in no particular order by Shinobi (check out that iTunes skin!), Exec (Again, awesome iTunes skin), and JetBlack (Just been updated for SS2.0)

Soot is awesome. But what about Avenger (my current fave)? It's dark but still very usable. Or isn't it dark enough to meet your criteria?

aeroesque, once I get this damn thing into a usable condition for anyone that doesnt know it inside out and find my motivation for it again.
Cathode is a great dark theme and I like Ti skin which had quite a lot of dark elements, apart from that I tend to stick with light themes as its easier to use usualy.
