No problems here (using Adium 0.85 on OS 10.4.3).

No problems here either. My only crashing program is OmniWeb.

Be sure to have 0.86, which is the newest version. Then try to remove your Adium X folder in ~/Library/Application Support/ and start Adium again. Should remove any problems you have, and if not, remove com.adiumX.adiumX.plist from ~/Library/Preferences/.

If you're running an older version without file transfering it will randomly crash if people attempt to direct connect or file transfer... Happened to me a lot before I upgraded.

today was the first time adium crashed on me and I have .86 and I was trying to send a file. perhaps the version of adium on my ibook is less than .86.

File transfers are more likely to do that than other parts of Adium.

In general, if you run into a crash, feel free to pm me with the email or name you used when submitting it in the crash reporter, and I can have a look and possibly find some useful information.

Thank you for the offer. I didn't blame it on the app (long story) and so I didn't submit a crash report, but I will in the future if it happens again.

For the longest time I have stayed with the official AIM client and every month or so would retry fire, adium, ichat, etc., but I always switched back. A friend of mine recently told me to try out adium again saying there were some great changes, and she was right. The two reasons I stayed with AIM were that I could set up person specific events (like sending them a message the next time they signed on), and for simple drag on name file transfers (something I would love to see in adium). I still use ichat for webcam stuff though (but I would love to test out video adium if it ever happens).

Adium can perform "person specific events" as well, in fact I wasn't aware that the official client could do this! I love that feature.

BTW Adium has been pretty stable for me, I don't think I've had a crash with any recent versions.

No crashing problem here either.

I have Mac OS X 10.3.9 on a iMac G5
When I installed some Xtras I have encountered some small errors, I mean that after the Xtra instal the prefferences open window kept appearing, but he didn't crash.

Adium rules man. Proteus is good also but it is not completely free.

If you're using MSN file transfer, 1.0 may improve it, but don't hold your breath. If you're using AIM file transfer... let's say I'm rather happy with the way the new aim code is behaving. I'm currently working on making the file transfer interface spiffier now that it actually works for me

Please make Adium for PC, charge $20 for it though.

Actually I don't even know if adium on pc would be possible without using a ton of resources anyway.
