So for my final project last year we had to make a poster for a soon to be annual award ceremony for digital animation (like Flash, 3D animations, digital cartoons, etc.) Some of you saw the original poster when I popped it up here for feedback. Well, I used a lot of your feedback (thanks!) and my poster was picked to represent the award ceremony! Infact, they were so impressed they wanted me to do the program and everything for it too! It's all comp, but who cares. This is the coolest thing that's happened to me so far and it's gonna be awesome on my resume.

They're going to be EIGHT FEET TALL! It's so awesome. They're also going to put 'em up with the movie posters at the theatres in town. I'm gonna take some pics of them when they're up there. I just realized it'll be hanging up next to the Episode III posters.

First image is the poster. The second image is of the program. It had to be designed so it could be changed in an instant depending on who's going to make it to the award ceremony and who isn't. The gray area is the text area.

Now here's the program I designed. I want to use a diecut for the buildings. The gray stuff is whatever text they might want.

I forgot to mention that this is open to ANYONE who wants to submit their stuff for The Scollies. So if any of you guys have some cool animations and think you can make it out to California in May I'd say go for it.

I'll post more information on it as I find out. I'm sure they'll have a website or at least a PDF you guys can fill out for a submission.

They should be taking submissions soon for voting, it's only 4 months away.

Very well done, congrats!

I really like the poster, and the idea of die-cutting the cover of the program is

I feel like I am qualified to tell you your poster rocks, since I just found out yesterday that a poster design of mine is going to win a Montana Addy award.

Congratulations! And that's a very nice homage to Cassandre. I love his work, too (I've got a large print of Normandie on my wall). You've defintely got a handle on that Art Deco style. And the building back-lighting is excellent.

Great job on the design. Congratulations. That's pretty cool to have something you made eight feet tall, for all to see.
