Is it possible to view video surveillance videos on the Iphone from your work on your own server? Also could you view video that is sent to you in an email on an iphone??

For the first question, it would depend on how the video is displayed. If it's Flash video, no. If it's quicktime or an animated GIF or the like, maybe yes. As for the second question, no.

So the Iphone can watch Quicktime videos? like for example on the Apple website the Iphone demo videos?

Yes, it can watch things like the trailers on the Quicktime web site, and the iPhone demos.

Well what im trying to get at is will i be able to view video from a Dedicated Micros DVR (Digital Sprite 2) on the IPhone?

thats not what i mean but that looks like an awsome app to try..

Im talking about playing back video from a surveillance server at my dads work.. where he can view different cameras and video that is saved on their surveillance server.

How do you view the footage now? If its through a web browser just give it a try on the iPhone.

Well its not all up and running (installation stage) and it will be able to be accessed from the web under some extreme form of security.
