Are there any carbonization plans for the Sims to make it run in OSX? On a related note, how is gameplay if you are in OSX but running Sims in Classic mode?

Actually all Sims games have a Carbon patch out, check VersionTracker for those. I think with Hot Date the installer is already Carbonized and future versions will be (if any). Gameplay is acceptable, I really don't notice too much of a performance difference.

Yeah - The Sims work fine in Mac OS X with the patch. Actually, I find that it loads MUCH faster in Mac OS X.
I just received The Sims Vacation for the PC a couple of days ago. Very nice addition! Hot Date was pretty cool too, and it should be out this month or early next month for the Mac.
Aspyr Media and Maxis should hook up to release future Sims for the Mac and PC at the same time.
