Good job!
Hey thanks a lot mate, I appreciate it. I think the speakers are a little tall, but hey, they were half price!

1 question for all you lcd wall mounting brethrens.
how do you hide the wires so well? i have an idea on how its done but im just amazed how clean a mounted lcd tv can look with the wires well hidden. Any tips? i have a 32" samsung lcd tv and i would love to mount it with no wires showing.

From what I can remember: You need to have an electrician-certified/installed outlet behind the TV for video and (maily) power. It's a firehazard to have a power cord run from an outlet, into a wall, and back out of the wall I think. Of couse this probably doesn't stop most people...

I cheated on mine, my iPal speaker hides my cable and it works for me. If it didn't i may have just lived with it or got somebody in to hide the wires by drilling into the wall.
I mentioned about getting a Herman Miller chair again i have decided that i am going to get the Celle Herman Miller chair this time. The Celle is one of the newer designs by Herman Miller and they are also a little bit cheaper than the Aeron chairs as well. It is best to buy from a retailer so that you get your 12yr warranty if you are buying a Herman Miller chair.

When I had my iMac I was always trying to see how cool/sexy I could make my setup.
I'm done with that now that I have my MacBook, I decided to do a fun setup this time.
It's a Core 2 Duo 2 ghz with 2 GB of ram, an STM Alley bag and AppleCare.
The bundle of chords retracts into the side of my desk when I'm not using it. It
took about 4 hours of wiring.

Thanks!
I sold the iMac to a friend of mine. I only charged them the cost of my MacBook with the added features, so I lost a bit of money on it. A MacBook will be more ideal, however, because I'm moving in a month to go to film school.
I don't really use the external anymore. I used it all the time with my iMac and it wasn't actually awkward to look at. With the MacBook I find having the screen at the perfect angle (something I couldn't do with my iMac) makes up for having less screen estate, and I don't have a need for the external. Also, I bought a 6' VGA extension cable so I could hide the wire, and now the video quality is very degraded. Weird, faint outlines around everything, and harsh pixelation. It's fine without the extension cable though, so at least it isn't my mini-DVI port.
Here's another view with it powered on. The external monitor mostly just stays how it is here. It's more work to use it then to not, so I just don't bother.
I must say, one thing I really like about the glossy screens is how well they show up in pictures. Matte screens look horrid on my camera, as you can see.

Hey! Thanks for your comments halogen8!
It looks easier than it was to set up. It took me a while to size the wallpapers to fit the iPods and phone exactly. Then, when the size was right, I realised they were too bright from the test photos I took. So I had to 'dim' them on Photoshop, as I couldn't adjust brightness on those gadgets.
Well, if it did, as you say inspire you, then it was worth all the effort! Hehe!

Perhaps a silly question, but how do you set the wallpaper on an iPod?
(I'll dork around this afternoon, but if it's a special trick please shove me in the right direction.)

You can't set a wallpaper for an iPod. He was just displaying the aqua background as a picture in fullscreen mode.

i admit i am guilty of being an ungrateful person sometimes.

Ok- these are pictures of my current setup.
MBP Core2Duo is on my desk
iPal speaker
Green Nano
Casio Camera
Samsung 940MW Monitor/Television
Canon Printer i80
Microsoft 8000 Bluetooth wireless mouse
Apple Airport Express which is linked via ethernet to my router.
And a Christmas little thing that my nephew made in nursery.
Clamshell is not kept on my desk it only comes out when i need it i store it in my drawers.
MBP Core Duo on my beside table. Apple sent it to me as a replacement but it was the wrong model and i had to use it until they sent me out my C2D. I mailed them saying that i finshed transfering everything over but as yet it has not been arranged to be picked up yet. I am hoping that i get to keep it over the Christmas period as it is so handy to have two. It is great for visitors and also it is comes in handy for surfing in bed lol when i cannot be bothered t move my C2D.

Be careful, if you wait to long they will charge you full price for it.
