Just wanted to see how many are left. I ordered on the 8th and it's still open and shows 2nd day shipping, but it's scheduled to be delivered on or before 10-24, but it's still open and that is tomorrow. Apple store is of no help either. They just say, "Well it says it'll be there on the 24th, so it will be there" I ask has it shipped and they say no, and Im like its 6:23 how late do you ship? I'm hoping I can check the status in 4 or 5 hours and it's magically changed to overnight and a tracking # that shows tomorrow's date. Then I can leave a post of relief.

I also am still "Open." However, I called this morning and the lady said my order was being prepped for shipping via standard overnight. That was back at 11am this morning. It's now 7:30pm and no change on the website. Very odd. Glad to see Apple's order system remains as perplexing as ever for me....

Well, last time I checked, my order (placed on the 8th) was open, with standard overnight shipping. I figure if it comes tomorrow, great. If not, I can afford to wait a few days and let some of the nasty undiscovered bugs surface.

My order still says "Open." I spoke to Apple, and they said that it will be here on the 24th and that the order "just hadn't shipped yet," and that "it was still on the dock." So I heard the same thing, and guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I have been checking my order throughout the day, and it finally switched to shipped within the past hour. They switched my shipping to overnight a couple of days ago, but it must have been sent out the door at the very last minute

Mine was just ordered 2 days ago, and it was still Open until 8:00 PM EST time today. It has shipped via FedEx and it will be delivered by 3:00 PM so says FedEx tracking.
BTW, mine is the educational version and I used free standard shipping which was upgraded for free to standard overnite.

Mine is still showing open. Ordered on 10/21 in the early morning.
Not a huge deal, but would be nice to have the shipped product.

I talked to Apple on the phone (on my second phone call) and the rep. said that Apple is trying to make sure that EVERY order makes it to the persons house on Friday.
Also remember, the time for these orders are Pacific, so they may even be delayed a couple of hours if you live on the east coast (as I do). Wait until midnight and if its not shipped, then call Apple tomorrow in the morning and see if they can ship it FedEx Saturday for free.

Mine is also still open. If it doesn't ship tonight some time then I'll cancel it in the morning and head over to CompUSA in the evening. I got my Dual G5 in today, it needs Panther on it.

Mine shipped, but with a 2-3 delay on top of the 3-5 day shipment. So it might be next Friday before I get it....

I got the 'up to 10 working days' delivery email to. I should have contained my excitement and NOT pre-ordered it from the online store, and made the trip to the local Apple stockest (PC World? Selfriges?) and seen if they had a copy during the day on saturday.
I forgot that Apple seams to think of it's non US coustomers as second class.
All these people who got a free upgrade to overnight shipping is rubbing it in.

Grrr...I've checked it about 30 times in the last 24 hours and now, with only ten hours left in the countdown, it is still 'Open'...I ordered it over a week ago...How many others are in the same boat?

I ordered both 10.3 client and server over two weeks ago. They both shipped last night, but shipped Fedex ground! What morons! I can't believe they did it. I tried to call, but the automated system said the wait was 40 minutes so I gave up.

Actually a lot of people in the UK who pre-ordered on Apple's web site got Panther a day or even two days early!

I feel your pain and yes I am in the same boat as you. (up-to-date for my PB)
However, my dad is getting Panther retail for himself today so I will install that until my CD arrives.
