Linkin Park most definitely falls in between these two. More angstcore, but with a smidgen of OAP.

I'm not saying this in defense of Dashboard Confessional but in music in general:

If you do not like it, why must you feel as though you have to put it down.

I watched a sesame street special on PBS last night and there was a 10 year old girl singing a "count to 10" song from the 80s and it was pretty good!

so whether it's britney, dashboard or NIN... enjoy music and enjoy life.

That's music to my ears. I picked up Lateralus when it came out. I don't even know what prompted me to get it. The more I listened to it, the more I had to hear it. It's now ranked as one of my all-time favorite CDs. It's incredibly deep and complex. I remember Danny Carey saying that at a couple of places on the CD, he stopped being a drummer and was finally able to "be" the drums. Something he has strived for his whole life. His playing at points is unbelievable. Not obvious, but incredibly complex. Tool, as a band, are on a plane well above everyone else. Not that I like Limp Bizkit, but their singer said (paraphrased) that they must know something that the rest of mankind has yet to figure out. That's the best way I've ever heard them described.

As for me, I'm now addicted to Disturbed. Can't stop listening to them.

My mainstay is Classical music. The basis for many other types of music, Such as John Williams and his film career.

Nothing *particular* at the moment as I've been on a heavy cycle of grabbing stuff lately and nothing singular is standing out, but I've been digging Puffy Ami Yumi, Ian Thomas, and old Human League (the Travelogue and Reproduction remasters) . Still totally into the Cardigans last album in a big way

Cardigans "Life" is one of my favorite ablums. Didn't really like the direction they took with Grand Tourismo. Have they returned to their roots?

I've had the Flutter single for a while but never seen the video. It's nice. I usually prefer my music audio-only, but I really enjoyed that. Cheers.

Since everyone else is trashing emo, I might as well too... Emo sucks.

Listening to now...

Bad Religion - The Empire Strikes First (really good from these guys)

Descendents - Cool To Be You (kinda a let down)

Alkaline Trio/One Man Army split - good stuff

Ryan Adams iTunes EP

Local H - new rekkid

I dunno. Bored of everything I own.

Here we are now, entertain us.
