I bought the ATT boxed Shure headset with built in mic for my iPhone because I really liked my old iPod Shure's. They are model i2c-m.

However...I have noticed that any movement of the jack where it plugs into the audio port on the iPhone results in music starteing to play. Random songs will be selected and played...with know touchscreen action whatsoever.

As a result...if my iPhone is in my pocket with the headset plugged in...simply walking will start music up. If I place the iPhone on the table with the headset plugged in...it will randomly start playing without my knowledge..draining the battery.

The included Apple headset does not have this problem..but the Shure's surely do. I can get a song playing at will simply by twisting the jack slightly.

Shurely I can't be the only one. Anyone else?

Sorry I've got the same exact headset and haven't had a problem with it at all. Is there a kink in the cable? Maybe something is wrong with the headset so it produces a signal similar to what the little remote on the Apple headset does. Don't know, just guessing.

Does it answer calls too by accident?
