My question is, there anyway to take everything from my ibook and move it to my new comp? By everything I mean photos, music, programs. I know I can burn most of it to cd, but what about programs? I hope this isn't to vague I haven't bought the mini yet, basically I need to upgrade my ibook to run anything, but I don't wanna lose everything I have on my ibook at the lowest cost possible. Any advice is going to be accepted!

Does your iBook G3 has a FireWire port? You can use Migration Assistant. However, I suggest backing up the Home folder and starts from there. I tend to install apps afterwards as I assume that you're moving from PPC to Intel.

It does have a firewire port. Right now I'm torn between upgrading to a mini or just installing Leopard. I just don't wanna lose everything, my music and pictures mostly. Also my book marks, and some software.

Just so you know, you can't install OS X Leopard on an iBook G3 -- any G3 for that matter.

I guess that is it, so now this post is about getting everything off my ibook and on to a new mac. So is it going to be really hard to move iphoto and itunes to another mac? What OS will work on my ibook after OSx 10.3? isn't that tiger.

If you buy a new Mac mini it will have iLife 08 installed. Like the others have said, backup and use the migration assistant. But wait til next week and the Macworld show, or your new computer could possibly be out of date as soon as you have bought it.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
